i just can’t stay away from crossovers. every paring i ship must have one. so i did makogou X little mermaid. originally i wanted an AU where makoto buys a miniature goldfish gou and takes care for her. it eventually led to mermaids. i even thought of an idea from the pirates of the caribbean (on stranger tides) where makoto is the priest/reverend and gou is the trapped mermaid. i swear i can get overboard with these sort of ideas.
"arabian nights" princess/royalty gou has been done before but it’s too fun not to pass. now i wonder when i’ll even get time to properly color any of these 8 |

WOW these came out nicely. I always love it when you do these one-color-at-a-time pieces, where each element is comprised of just one color; it SHOULD by all rights flatten things, but your deft ability with colors and coloring always makes them feel more alive instead. As well, your usual great detail work sings here; the scales, the drips of water, the folds of the robes...it all livens the image up so nicely. And, of course, character, character, character; all three pics do a GREAT job through expression and body language of setting the scene and showing the characters' dynamics and personalities. Love it. <3
