yeah, i'm sure you're thinking "WTF IS THIS", so i'll explain....
back in our Zel/Amelia LJ community, we had a gender bender challenge of Zel and Amelia. somehow it created a mini-fandom for these two gender-switched lovebirds. then, i remembered a youtube video titled "zel won't say" where the author remade the "I won't say (i'm in love)" song from Hercules. in the video, zel plays as megara, amelia as hercules (lol) and xellos as the muses. so, i got this crack idea of using female-Zel and Emile (male Amelia named by ~secondlina) in their respective roles, while keeping xellos (and adding more girls) in the muses team.
THEN VOILA! you got this! get it? sorry if i confused you.
maybe i should start with the muses choices. i should have chosen sylphiel instead of martina! not that i hate her but with the colors i'm working with, sylphiel would cause less problems. i chose martina to begin with cos she's just funny.
i was going for that ancient royalty look/design but i couldn't find the right pattern. i stuck with a leafy-like pattern meant for japanese origami (lol). the golden frame was my main focus. i wanted it to be there and bring out emile. (i don't think it worked).
i loved what i did to the four girls! their outfits have a mythical effect that I was aiming for (outfits were referenced from the original muses from Hercules). at first the color was going to be a dark dirty gold color, but i rechecked the actual colors and i am so glad I followed the slightly white-goldish color.
i also changed Emile's pose from my original plan. that little flower adds that stupidly romantic effect that i can't help but laugh lol. in love now zelly? *gets zapped by Zel*
lastly, i added lyrics of the muses lines and placed them in that background. it kinda messes the picture a bit but i really wanted those lyrics there!
