The Ladybug meets the Prince

(sorry didn't have time to post it right after the tumblr one. it was ridiculously late)
Gosh, I should stop procrastinating…bad bad habit and another unfinished illustration (no worries I will finish it in a few days). I should be honest, I HAVE NO IDEA how to protray Ladrien… so I apologize if I did not do this pairing well. I even tried to avoid it by adding Nino, Alya and King Gabriel (to those who thought Gabriel appeared in my previous installment: fav.me/d9ruv7b THAT was Andre Bourgeois, Chloe’s father. Sorry for the confusion!!)

The ball is held for three nights and every time Tikki casts a spell on Marinette so the Bourgeios family do not recognize her. On the first night, Adrien takes Mari (or the Maiden Ladybug) for the honorable First Dance. After that, he quickly takes her aside so that she won’t be swept away by the nobles. As they chat, Mari tells him all about Chat Noir and their time at the festival. She hopes to find him. Adrien promises to help her anyway he can. However, he has to show his face some time during the night, so they go back together. When Mari idly wanders, Alya finds some time to question Mari. 

On the second night, Adrien is unable to be the first to meet Mari as she enters, so the noblemen took their chance to get to know the lovely Maiden Ladybug. I was actually planning to put Theo and Nathaniel, so If anyone’s curious to see how they would look like, please say so! If I get enough nagging, I might draw their designs. (I'm actually getting a lot of interest on tumblr) Adrien is being introduced to potential candidates with his father watching. When Adrien can finally get away and steal Mari, he takes her to his mother’s secret garden. They talk about Chat Noir again, and eventually Adrien agrees to taker her back so she can go find him. Mari leaves the ball a little sad when she didn’t find him, but still hopeful for one more night. 

On the third night, Mari arrives a little late because Andre Bourgeois gave her a chore that took longer to finish. Adrien doesn’t meet her, so she takes the chance to continue looking for Chat Noir. Somehow, she encounters the King by accident and shares a brief chat. Meanwhile, Adrien is anxious as he plants to show the bracelet to Mari. Sometime before midnight, Adrien steals her away, telling her he has a clue about Chat. After she sees the bracelet, the clock starts striking for midnight. Out of reflex, she flees the ball immediately, leaving Adrien to give chase. Following the fairy tale, Mari accidentally leaves a shoe, the only clue that ties her to her Ladybug identity.
